What is an Empowered Mindset?
An empowered mindset embodies positive, success, and growth mindsets with additional elements and synergetically transforms them into an EMPOWERED MINDSET. A mindset where I strive to maintain daily. So, what is it?
With an empowered mindset, we believe that your desired success can be achieved through your experiences, thinking, learning, and efforts as well as with support from others. When you are empowered, you know you can do anything and your dreams are possible as what we believe becomes our reality. Although we will have many obstacles and challenges, we embrace them as experiences to overcome that make us stronger and better. It is through the most difficult periods in our lives that we build the most character and grow. We will transform these adversities and not only react with resiliency but use these challenges to make us stronger, become AntiFragile. As Nassim Taleb has spoken about in his great book, “AntiFragile.”
The Stoics also spoke about how lessons are provided to us when things happen. We must remain vigilant and aware so we use these experiences for growth. Therefore, no experience or time period in our lives is ever wasted. Everything is fuel for your fire.
Marcus Aurelius “A blazing fire makes flame and brightness out of everything that is thrown into it.”
We all make mistakes. However, it is more about our reaction to these mistakes that matter most. Will we use them to learn, grow, and transform ourselves or use them as self-punishment and shame. Shame is one of the lowest vibrations we can have within ourselves that keeps us down and can create a victim mentality which is the opposite of an empowered mindset.
We must be kind to ourselves and let go of the notion of perfectionism. No one is perfect as we are all fallible. We are human. Let’s open ourselves and accept. Be accountable for our thinking and actions and accept ourselves. Once we accept we can begin to elevate our consciousness. Empathy is key and a way of repairing our shame or guilt. It is ok to feel vulnerable. Our thoughts and words have their own energy and are capable of creating our reality. What we give attention and energy to can become who and what we become. Choose your thoughts wisely.
Buddha “What we think, we become.”
Your subconscious mind is vastly powerful and where we spend most of our waking hours (about 95%). Thus, most of our decision making comes from our subconscious mind (see Decision Making).
We are inundated with vast amounts of new information daily, so we may begin to feel overwhelmed as the number of our decisions are constantly rising while adapting and modifying to all the new processes, technologies, and information. However, most of these processes operate on autopilot from our subconscious mind.
So it would seem that the actual amount of control that we have over our decision making is actually pretty habitual and not consciously created. Are you understanding the importance of mindset yet? Our subconscious mindset is largely responsible for how we think and behave at any given moment! Therefore, change your mindset to change your decision making to transform your life.
The importance of maintaining a positive and empowered mindset!
Being empowered means having power and control over your life! You control your reaction to events not the events themselves.
Epictetus “It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”
Forgive yourself, accept yourself, respect yourself.
Challenges become opportunities!
