GPU Rents Up 52%, Neoclouds Down 60%: The Invoice Wins

๐จ GPU rental prices are up 52% since May. Neocloud stocks are down 60%+ from their highs.
Both can’t be right for long.
Two Markets, Two Stories
The stock market is pricing a shakeout: too much capacity, too much debt, too many players, and a lot of very confident threads about the “AI bubble.”
The rental sheet is pricing a shortage: customers paying more, not less, to get their hands on compute.
One of those is a narrative. The other is an invoice.
When Demand Shows Up on the Invoice
When demand shows up on the invoice instead of the slide, the invoice wins. Prices that rise 52% in a few months are not what a glut looks like. Gluts are famously bad at raising prices.
That doesn’t mean every neocloud survives. It means the market is treating the whole group as if the shortage doesn’t exist, while the people actually renting GPUs are telling a very different story with their wallets.
