ETF Dividends for Long Term
For long term investing it is simple and wise to diversify portfolios with some “safer” long term dividend yielding ETFs. Since I always speak about the importance of “what you keep” I target ones with very low management fees which means SQQQ and TQQQ are out!
What I look for as a general rule are dividend yields at least 1.5% and preferably higher but I like management fees to be very low .25% or less. I also want a lower volatility so it is more stable. These are some parameters I use as general rules but can definitely be modified with much success. I also like to have ETFs that are currently above their 50d MA and have shown some relative strength recently. I even narrow it down further with 20d MA being above 50d MA but that isn’t necessary.
